A new approach to undergraduate engineering education
Our undergraduate programs are being designed to create leaders who will leverage technology to make an impact in organisations and society. The programs will be offered in a truly integrated, experiential and project-based pedagogy. Graduates from these programs will be well prepared with not only the necessary technical depth but also with the cross-disciplinary knowledge of humanities, arts and social sciences. Developing key attributes like design thinking, entrepreneurial mindset and a global perspective are part of program design. The undergraduate programs which will be offered from Aug 2021 can be visualised as having the following key elements:

The core curriculum will not just be limited to engineering and sciences, but bring in exposure to liberal arts, entrepreneurship and design which will enable humane and empathetic outcomes through technology.
Students will be immersed in experiential learning from day one and learn by creating. By incorporating flipped classroom techniques, online learning mechanisms and industry capstone projects, students will become more context-aware and develop critical problem-solving abilities.
We believe that to be a leader in society we have to first know ourselves. Our leadership curriculum focuses on self development and continuous self improvement. Developing skills like critical thinking, creativity and collaboration is at the heart of our curriculum.
Plaksha proposes to offer four degrees with a focus on interdisciplinary engineering concentrations when it opens in 2021. Students will graduate with a B.Tech degree in either of the 4 streams.
This is not a traditional Computer Science degree, but combines a CS core with machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and human intelligence with a long term view that computing systems will be pervasive and that the interface of human and artificial intelligence will be a source of solutions of future grand challenges and opportunities for innovation. Graduates of this program will have successful careers as leaders of digital transformation, and will be strong candidates for advanced degrees in either computer science or artificial intelligence/machine learning and will go on to become leading scholars in their fields.
Offers a forward-thinking curriculum designed to target the growing and unmet need for highly skilled professionals at the intersection of computing, mechatronics, and human behavior. Graduates of the RCPS program will be able to design and fabricate engineering systems that interact with humans and the environment and create sustainable solutions. Graduates of this program will have successful careers as entrepreneurs and technical leaders across corporations and organizations. Many will be empowered to pursue advanced degrees in all engineering fields, computer science, public policy and technical leadership.
An interdisciplinary program that aims to bridge the gap between engineering, healthcare and biology. With the advent of high-performance computing, AI, data science, machine learning, modeling/simulation, sensors, IoT etc., Biological Systems Engineering offers a tremendous opportunity for the introduction of data-intensive computational and quantitative techniques for driving applications that address the grand challenges. This degree will help graduates build an understanding of quantitative & system biology and computation, and be trained in modeling and analysis of large biological and biomedical data.
Offers tracks in Digital Transformation, Financial Engineering and Data for Development. The exponential growth of data is rapidly transforming business across all sectors. The proliferation of data has the potential to change how we make decisions in every aspect of business, across formulation of strategy, forecasting, research and development, product design, marketing and sales, operations and supply chain management, financial management and so on. The objective of this major is to nurture students with a deep grounding in data science combined with an interdisciplinary economics and business perspective.
